Where can I study to be a massage therapist?
Massage is the manipulation of muscle and connective tissue to enhance function of those tissues and promote relaxation, health and well-being. The trained professionals who deliver these services are known as massage therapists or sometimes, colloquially, as masseuses; althought this term is not favoured amongst the professional massage therapist community.
There are
several different pathways to begin a career as a massage therapist in Malaysia. Most commonly you will need to have completed a certificate in massage therapy at a recognised training institution. It
is a requirement of the majority of courses to also complete a minimum
of around 30 hours of supervised clinical training, supervised by
qualified professionals.
